Menderes Mahallesi Perşembe Pazarı doğusunda bulunan ve faaliyete geçtiği günden bu yana gerçekleştirdiği sosyal projelerle adını Türkiye çapında duyurmayı başaran Örgü Evi, kadınların buluşma noktası haline geldi. Keyifli ve sıcak aile ortamı yakalayan kadınlar, Örgü Evi’nde çaylarını yudumluyor, sohbet ediyor ve örgülerini örüyor. Öte yandan özel projelere destek olan Örgü Evi sakinleri, toplumda daha fazla bilinç oluşturmak adına örnek çalışmalara imza atıyor. Ördüklerini, kış şartlarında vatan mücadelesi veren askerlere, kırsal kesimde eğitim gören öğrencilere ve başka şehirlerdeki ihtiyaç sahibi insanlara ulaştıran kadınlar, kendilerine böyle bir imkânı sağladığı için Mezitli Belediye Başkanı Neşet Tarhan’a teşekkürlerini sundu.

Kadınların, sadece el becerilerini geliştirmekle kalmadıklarını, kendi aralarında dayanışma ve paylaşma duygusunu da güçlendirdiğini dile getiren Örgü Evi sorumlusu Şeyda Kıritır, “Orman Müdürlüğünden emekliyim. Örgüyü hobi olarak yapıyorum. Emekli olunca örgüye daha çok yöneldim. Mezitli Belediye Başkanımız Neşet Tarhan sağ olsun, bizlere böyle bir mekân ayarladı. Çok severek, mutlu bir şekilde başladım. Etrafımdaki emekli hanımları buraya gelmeleri için davet ettim. Burada çok güzel birliktelik sağladık. Güzel zaman geçiyoruz. İkinci adresimiz oldu. Herkes burada çok mutlu. Örgülerle terapi oluyoruz adeta. Çok iyi kaynaştık. Sıkı arkadaşlıklar kurduk. Burada çok mutluyuz. Belediyemize çok teşekkür ederiz” şeklinde konuştu.
